On average, we recommend booking every 6 to 8 weeks. If you or a loved one are at higher risk (such as with foot ulcers or neuropathy), we suggest appointments every 4 weeks until the risk is reduced.
We use medical-grade, surgical-quality instruments classified as critical medical devices. These instruments may come into contact with sterile tissue and are cleaned, disinfected, and sterilized between each use according to Alberta Health Services infection control standards.
Absolutely! We do not use harsh chemicals in our foot care treatments. Some clients may require treatment for fungal or bacterial nail infections, but this is assessed individually and discussed during the client’s initial evaluation.
No, we do not soak feet before treatment. Due to the frequency of fungal infections and infection control protocols, soaking feet is not recommended. It can cause cracking, splitting, or bleeding of the nails during trimming and may introduce infection, particularly in immunocompromised clients. We avoid soaking to preserve the skin’s natural protective barrier.
